Elizabeth Lou Cardon Jorgensen

Elizabeth Lou Jorgensen passed away at the Tucson Medical Center in Tucson Arizona February 10, 2017 from complications of a lifelong battle with a bleeding disorder (Glanzman Syndrome)

Elizabeth was born in Pocatello, Idaho November 11, 1957 to John D. Cardon and Jennie Lou Stanger Cardon.  She grew up in Inkom Idaho, attending Inkom Elementary and Marsh Valley High School.  She moved to Northern Idaho her Junior year, graduating from Timberline High school in 1976.  Elizabeth served an LDS church mission in Cleveland Ohio.  She returned home to complete her education earning a bachelor’s degree in education from Idaho State University.  She taught school in Sugar City Idaho.  On December 27, 1992 she married Larry Jorgensen in the Idaho Falls LDS temple.  Together they made their homes in Pullman and Aberdeen Washington, living in Tucson Arizona for the last 17 years.

Elizabeth loved horses, gardening, drawing and sculpting.  She had an artistic flare that was shown in decorating her home to the clothes she wore and the food she cooked.  She made everything around her beautiful.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father John D Cardon and nephew David Kemmerer.  She is survived by her husband Larry Jorgensen (Tucson AZ), mother Jennie Lou Winter and step-father Gene Winter (Lewiston), brothers; Phillip (Brenda) Kennewick WA., Christopher (Denise) Clarkston WA., Sisters; Angela Kohli (John) Inkom, Mellissa Eichner (Tim) Kendrick Id. and many nieces and nephews whom she loved.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Inkom L.D.S. Jackson Creek Chapel.  The family will meet with friends on Friday, Feb. 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. and on Sat. one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Inkom Cemetery.
