Deanna Hone Baysa, 61, passed away unexpectedly due to a heart attack at her Pocatello home Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Deanna was born on May 26, 1962 in Ely, Nevada and welcomed to her family consisting of her father Lee W. Hone and mother LaVona A. Nickell Hone along with two older siblings, Darlene, and Dennis. She grew up in Ely, Nevada through the 8th grade and then attended high school in Elko, Nevada. She moved to Denver, Colorado where she met Wil and then moved Salt Lake City, Utah where she married Wilfred Baysa Jr. on August 5, 1983 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Deanna and Wil have two children, Michael, and Crystal. She lived in Ely and Elko Nevada, Denver, Colorado, Salt Lake City, Utah, Maui in Hawaii, back to Denver, Colorado, Topeka, Kansas, and finally to Pocatello, Idaho.
She has always been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved dancing, fishing, and camping. She loved speaking, chatting, texting, and emailing with her sister and their group of friends. Her love for her family, particularly her husband, children, and grandchildren were profound.
Deanna is survived by her husband Wilfred Baysa, Jr. and her children, Michael E. Baysa (Seven) and Crystal Baysa; her four grandchildren Severa, Keola, Kekoa, and Kalea Baysa; her father Lee W. Hone and step-mother, Peggy; her mother LaVona Jaquith and step-father Steve; her siblings Darlene H. Shelley (Ronald) and Dennis L. Hone (Venus); step-sisters Cindy Denos (Keith), Cathy Wright (Todd), Ginger Shumway (Vern), and Penny Cole along with multiple nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.
Deanna was predeceased by paternal grandparents Verdonil (Don) W. Hone and Jane E. Shaw; maternal grandparents Alexander (Alex) W. Nickell and Ruth Jolley; step-mother Ella Mae Penn Hone; and her parents-in-law Juan D. Baysa and Juana L. Galbadorez Baysa.
